En Junio, 50 juegos de Electronic Arts dirán adiós a su Online

El próximo 30 de junio, poco más de 50 juegos de Electronic Arts dirán adiós al modo multijugador ante el apagado de sus servidores. Titulos como Battlefield 2 (incluida su expansión Special Forces), Crysis 2, Star Wars: Battlefront II o Battlefield 2142 pasarán de ser juegos multijugador a juegos de un sólo jugador donde jugar al modo de campaña o con bots.

Este apagón llega ante el cese de operación de GameSpy, la encargada de dar cobijo al online de una gran variedad de títulos que podrás ver a continuación, estando afectado tanto juegos de PC, como de PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, Nintendo Wii o Nintendo DS.

"Sabemos que algunos de estos juegos siguen siendo favoritos de los fans, incluyendo Battlefield 2, Battlefield 1942, Medal of Honor: Allied Assault y la saga Command & Conquer. Aún estamos investigando opciones apoyadas por la comunidad para preservar la funcionalidad en línea para estos títulos, como es el multijugador. Los Obstáculos técnicos significativos permanecen, y en este momento nosotros no tenemos nada que anunciar".
